Johannesburg - Award-winning fashion giant David Tlale took to Instagram recently to pay homage to his mother, Joyce, and to the collective team that brings the vision of his fashion designs to life.
The fashion legend received the Lifetime Achiever Award 2025 at the recent South African Fashion Awards which took place at the prestigious Hotel Sky in Sandton.
"I dedicate this award to my late mother, Joyce, whose spirit continues to guide me; to my family, whose unwavering support grounds me, and to all my clients, supporters and members of the media, both locally and internationally. Thank you for your love, support and belief in me," said the fashion mogul.
He continued to commend his team of staff for believing in the brand of Tlale and bringing it into fruition.
"To my team, Team David Tlale, you are simply the best. Remember, there is no David Tlale without you. Your passion, dedication and belief in the vision have been instrumental in this journey.
"This award is more than a personal achievement. It is a rebirth, a renewal call to action. As the fashion industry, we are uniquely positioned to reignite South Africa's clothing and textiles sector and to extend that transformation across the African continent," he said.
