Johannesburg - The South African fashion industry has been left in a state of shock following the recent passing of revered Fashion Designer Vanya Mangaliso.
The 53-years-old Fashion Designer passed away "peacefully" on the 26th of June from an undisclosed illness surrounded by close family and friends.
The fashion house confirmed the news in a statement.
Vanya is the co-founder of the fashion brand Sun Goddess, which she co-founded with her husband, Thando Mangaliso.
"It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vanya Mangaliso. The renowned designer and creative director of Sun Goddess," read the statement.
She is outlived by her husband and their three children.
The family has kindly requested privacy to grieve their loss.
