Johannesburg - Award-winning actress and author Vatiswa Ndara is releasing a sequel following her explosive memoir, Unfiltered: My Unglamorous Odyssey in the World of South African Entertainment.

Unfiltered: Welcome to Holland. Terms and Conditions Apply: My Dutch Asylum Struggle which will be her second book in the unfiltered book series will be released on the 25th of November 2026.

In a released statement it is said that the second upcoming memoir is of her time as an asylum seeker in the Netherlands, after she self-exiled in light of her being blacklisted in the South African entertainment industry.

Unfiltered — which is her debut memoir that led to her subsequent blacklist— was inspired by Ndara's controversial open letter which was published on social media for then minister of Arts and Culture, the late minister Nathi Mthethwa, six years ago, highlighting the plight of exploitation and low-pay faced by the arts community in South Africa.

According to the statement the new book is a memoir of her time as an asylum seeker in the Netherlands in search of greener pastures, having felt disillusioned by the government of her own country; it ends with a manifesto for redesigning the Western asylum system.

The book stands on its own, although, it follows its prequel, Unfiltered: My Unglamorous Odyssey in the World of South African Entertainment — which tells the story of why she left South Africa — her birth country.

This will be her third book offering after her debut I Am Because of You which was released in 2017.
