Johannesburg - 24-year-old speech therapist, Qhawekazi Mazaleni from eDutywa in the Eastern Cape has been crowned as the new Miss South Africa 2025.
The self-published author was crowned at the SunBet Arena at Times Square in Pretoria, last night.
The prestigious event was hosted by media personalities Nomalanga Shozi and Pamela Mtanga.
The judging panel for this season included two former Miss SA titleholders; Dr. Tamryn Green-Nxumalo (2018), Ndavi Nokeri (2022), seasoned broadcast journalist Heidi Giokos, brand strategist Thebeetsile Ikalafeng and model/influencer Cindy Mahlangu.
"Thank you so much! My heart is so deeply filled with gratitude. I've just woken up this morning and experienced every single emotion again. Thank you!" said the elated Miss SA 2025 on Instagram.
The event was broadcasted live on DStv's Mzansi Magic and SABC's S3.
Mazaleni walks away with a prize package worth R3 million, including a R1 million cash prize, a Mercedes -Benz GLC Coupe and a penthouse apartment as the reigning queen of 2025.

if Qhawe has a million fans, i am one of them. if Qhawe has ten fans, i am one of them. if Qhawe has only one fan, that is me. if Qhawe has no fans, that means i am no longer on earth. if the world is against Qhawe, i am against the world. 🥹❤️ #MissSA2025
