The new store got launched this week at Hemingways Mall in East London with an after party launch which took place at La Grato Italian restaurant with an exclusive performance by multi-award-winning DJ Oskido.
He took to Instagram recently to announce the news to much delight from his lavish clientele.
"Monti, sibuyel'ekhaya! (East London we've come back home!)," he said.
"We feel so anointed to be launching our first ever Maxhosa Lifestyle shopping destination right in the centre of the Eastern Cape Province, which is popularly known as the "Home of Legends", in the beautiful city of East London. This is a significant moment for us because East London is our maternal home.
"We’re super keen to experience the love at home," said the designer.
Maxhosa Lifestyle & Woolworths collaboration
He has recently been working in a "first-of-its-kind" heritage collection with giant fashion retailer Woolworths adding Maxhosa Lifestyle branded customised luxury kitchen items.
These Maxhosa branded customised luxury kitchen items include the branded tea tin with loose wupperthal rooibos teabags, branded double wall vacuum stainless steel bottle and the extra virgin cold pressed olive oil in a branded ceramic bottle.
The items also include a branded coffee tin with organic ground arabica coffee with an additional Maxhosa Lifestyle branded wine bag, buttermilk rusks in branded Maxhosa packaging and a branded floral bouquet.
"This coming summer is a great time to introduce the first-of-its-kind heritage collection, a curated partnership of the Woolworths and Maxhosa Lifestyle everyday luxury items. Coming to select Woolworths stores from 25 November 2025, " he said.
