Johannesburg - South Africa's Grammy award-winning pop sensation Tyla has released a new single, yesterday, that has already begun to gain traction on social media.

The Chanel track is signed under FAX and Epic Records - who are both in partnership of Tyla's international releases - and it is described as a "confident, stylish track that plays on the themes of love, status and self-assurance".

“The song ‘Chanel’ is not only about spoiling me, it’s about being treated like luxury. Being the gift! I was in head to toe vintage Chanel for the music video. It was fun playing with the pieces and making them my own. Say you love me? Put me in Chanel," said the singer through Vogue.

The Water hit-maker can be seen wearing a vintage Chanel quilted bomber jacket and accessories from fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld's 1991 Fall/Winter collection courtesy of her stylist Ron Hartleben "whose expertise is in 90's fashion".

The now US-based artist is gracing the latest cover of Glamour magazine delving "through everything from that viral after party picture to the one key element she doesn't feel complete without".

“I really admired Brenda Fassie and Lebo Mathosa. They were like our pop stars. Their music was just so infectious, it was everywhere. And they were women. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do," said the singer though her sit-down with Glamour.
