Media personality Lerato Kganyago remains mum about 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa's implication in the Madlanga Commission

Johannesburg - Media personality Lerato Kganyago has remained mum on social media surrounding her alleged ownership of luxury establishment 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa in Northcliff, Johannesburg.

The high-end establishment has been implicated in a witness's statement at the on-going Madlanga Commission of Inquiry which is probing allegations of criminality, corruption and political interference in the justice system.

Witness A, an organised crime investigator, - who is testifying from a safe house for his protection has mentioned an occasion where he got invited by Lerato Kganyago's husband, Thami Ndlala, to a party that took place at the luxurious establishment.

The revelation has sparked controversy around Kganyago's luxurious lifestyle on social media and her husband's alleged illicit party which included government officials.

During the week the luxury establishment released a statement distancing itself from any association with Kganyago or her husband. 

It went on to clarify that the alleged party never occurred on its premises.

“The hotel takes seriously all assertions that its premises have been used for unlawful or improper purposes. Our booking records and event log confirm that no function of that nature took place in the relevant time frame,” read the statement.

The statement also added that the Metro FM on-air personality has no ownership, managerial or operational role in the business property.

“We note with concern that media commentary has directed criticism towards Mrs Lerato Kganyago despite her having no association with the business operations,” clarified the statement.

The controversy of the hotel dates back to when the on-air Metro FM personality came out on social media in 2022 claiming that the hotel was gifted to her for Valentines Day by her husband per The Citizen.
